UK: Shropshire Speed Camera Torched
Vigilantes set fire to a Shropshire, UK speed camera.

Vigilantes damaged a speed camera in Shropshire, England early Wednesday. The automated ticketing machine located on Holyhead Road in the town of Telford survived being set on fire. At around 3am, a pile of clothing was placed on top of the device and ignited.

This marks a second less-than-successful attack in the area. In October, another Shropshire speed camera escaped major damage after a technique using a gasoline-soaked blanket failed to reach and damage the actual ticketing mechanism.

West Mercia Police have no idea who might be responsible.
