UK: Vigilantes Cook Speed Camera
Staffordshire, UK speed camera roasted by vigilantes.

Vigilantes late last Friday roasted a speed camera in Staffordshire, England. The device had been located on Ashby road in Burton near Tower Road.

Gasoline-filled tires were set at the base of the camera and then ignited, generating intense heat and smoke that blackened the camera and damaged the internal machinery. Officials with the Staffordshire Speed Camera Partnership intend to repair the camera promptly so that it can resume issuing £60 (US $120) tickets to anyone traveling a few MPH above the 40 MPH limit. Police have no suspects.
