UK: Surrey Speed Camera Burned
Vigilantes set fire to a speed camera in Surrey, England.

Vigilantes in Surrey, England destroyed a speed camera early Tuesday. The device had issued automated citations on Upper Halliford Road in Shepperton until being set on fire. Vigilantes had previously ripped a camera at the same location out of the ground in March. The Staines News reports that since the camera was installed in 1997, the accident rate has increased 37 percent.
