UK: Peterborough Speed Camera Torched
Peterborough, UK speed camera is set on fire.

A speed camera in Peterborough, UK was set on fire in the early morning hours on May 22. Firefighters were dispatched to save the ticketing device located on the A142 New Road in Chatteris.

The attack follows a string of similar incidents this year. In April, a camera on the A16 Deepings bypass near Spalding Road took up to £40,000 (US $80,000) in damage after being set on fire. In February, a camera on the A17 near Sutton Bridge was torched following the destruction of a camera on the A1073 in Cowbit.
