UK: Vigilantes Destroy Accident Causing Speed CameraVigilantes burn a Somerset, UK speed camera that had caused a tripling in the number of accidents.
Vigilantes last week destroyed a Somerset, UK speed camera believed to have caused an increase in the number of collisions in a seaside resort town. A fire destroyed the device located on New Bristol Road in Weston-super-Mare. Although area cameras have raised £4.5 million (US $8.8 million) in nine months, accidents tripled on New Bristol Road after the camera was first installed.
