UK: Flame Engulfs Speed Camera
A speed camera is destroyed in Somerset, UK. Police deny any connection to other recent incidents.

Destroyed speed camera
A speed camera in Somerset, UK was destroyed by burning tires last Tuesday. The device had been issuing citations on the A370 near East Huntspill.

Although the vigilante group Motorists Against Detection has claimed credit for about one thousand similar attacks of speed cameras, Avon and Somerset Police deny that last week's assault was part of any coordinated effort.

"There is nothing to suggest any of the incidents have been linked by any sort of militant group as such," police spokesman Ian Drury told the Bridgwater Mercury newspaper. "It appears that they are individual incidents."
