Cops Adding GPS to Speed Guns
GPS-enabled laser speed guns will reduce challenges to speeding tickets.

A new speed measuring system is being tested in Australia that adds GPS technology to the classic laser and radar-based speed guns. The system connects the speed gun to a data recorder that captures position data from GPS satellites, increasing the documentation available to the police for evidence. Officers can also use the same GPS system to record precise information on accident locations.
