Police in Daytona Beach, Florida are staking out convenience stores. On Monday, they issued $71.50 citations to anyone who left the car running to dash into the store to get something quick. That provided a quick $4361 in revenue for the department which was able to hand out sixty-one of the tickets in just one day. In addition, police used the effort to hand out an additional 23 citations for other infractions and in the process confiscated 39.5 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of cocaine and $289 in cash.
