Canadian Police Delay Investigation of Camera Scandal
Canadian police further delay investigations into wrong-doing related to the Edmonton photo enforcement program.
Investigators with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have said they need another six months to investigate a series of scandals involving Dallas-based camera contractor ACS. ACS had offered inducements to the police officers who ultimately recommended that the company be awarded a multi-million dollar speed camera contract.
A second investigation into attempts by police to stake-out and arrest Edmonton Sun columnist and camera critic Kerry Diotte won't be completed until September.
Edmonton's police chief has already resigned over the scandal.

Boulanger, former chief Fred Rayner's executive assistant, has also been charged with discreditable conduct regarding a news release issued Nov. 21, three days after the stakeout.
