Seattle Airport Treats Motorists Like Terrorists
Motorists will be subjected to searches at the Sea-Tac Airport in Washington state, unless they drive under 20 MPH.

Car search
Motorists accused of "speeding" near the Sea-Tac, Washington airport terminal will find themselves the subject of an intensive search involving radiation detectors and checks for bombs this week. With a 20 MPH speed limit posted more than 10 MPH below the average speed of traffic, lidar-equipped airport police have found a license effectively to search everyone passing through.

The tactic allowed TSA employees to perform a search of each vehicle while a police officer distracted drivers with roadside warnings about speeding. No tickets were issued, as the move was designed as a response to a car bomb attack at Glasgow International Airport in Scotland last week. Motorists were only detained for a short time.

Vehicles driving very slowly toward the terminal would escape the search.
