Barre, Vermont Creates Toys for Tickets Program
Christmas for Kids program in Barre, Vermont turns parking tickets into Christmas toys.

Christmas for KidsAnyone who receives a parking ticket in Barre, Vermont today can get out of the fine by donating an unwrapped toy for the police department's annual "Christmas for Kids" program. Police are collecting toys up to 4pm on December 16 and will dismiss the fine if the toy is judged of equal or greater value.

Last year the police helped deliver toys to 470 disadvantaged children.
