Bogus Aussie Camera Ticket Stories
A bogus speed camera tickets resulted in a Australian man losing his license. The government's error cost him $242 in legal fees.

Bogus ticket recipient Adam ColgraveBogus speed cameras tickets cost a Burnie, Australia man his license. Demerit points for an offense he did not commit were applied to his license, even though he never received a notice in the mail. It cost him $242 in legal fees to clear the record.

He had not received any infringement notices in the mail and whoever did receive them paid the fines. Yet, somehow the demerit points had been applied to his driver's licence. Even after he managed to clear up the matter, he was left with a $242 legal bill.
