Bogus speed cameras tickets cost a Burnie, Australia man his license. Demerit points for an offense he did not commit were applied to his license, even though he never received a notice in the mail. It cost him $242 in legal fees to clear the record. Article Excerpt: He had not received any infringement notices in the mail and whoever did receive them paid the fines. Yet, somehow the demerit points had been applied to his driver's licence.
