Malaysia: Driver Arrested for Dark Window Tint
A 48-year-old Malaysian man was arrested Wednesday because his car had unacceptably dark window tinting.
A 48-year-old driver in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia was arrested Wednesday because his car had unacceptably dark window tinting. Police say that the man was "rude" and refused to remove the tint, leaving them no option but to arrest him and impound his car.
Testing showed the windows on the man's Proton Wira sedan allowed only 13 percent light through, far darker than the 70 percent allowed by law. The man and his car were released on bail. The driver must answer for the tinting crime in court.
