The mayor of the small village of Summit, a Chicago suburb, has been caught on tape admitting he fixed parking tickets in order to obtain political support for his initiatives. Specifically, Mayor Joseph Strzelczyk dismissed $100,000 in parking fines for several village trustees to obtain their vote for his plan to bring a casino to Summit.ABC 7 has been unable to reach Vrdolyak or mayor Strzelczyk, but the police union confirms the tape is authentic.
