Cyprus: Speed Camera Vigilante Arrested
A 24-year-old is suspected of destroying a speed camera on the island of Cyprus.

A vigilante in Cyprus bashed one of the Mediterranean island nation's speed cameras just one month after the island-wide system began issuing tickets. Police arrested a 24-year-old on Wednesday, accusing him of the attack which took place on Sunday at 8am. According to the police, the man drove up to the automated ticketing machine located on Omonia Street and Paphos Street in Limassol and bashed it with a metal rod.

In January, when the devices were first installed (but not activated due to technical problems), three cameras were damaged or destroyed.
