France, Italy: Anti-Speed Camera Vigilantes Strike
Vigilantes disabled speed cameras in France and Italy last week.

Christmas Decorated Speed Camera
In Asti, Italy, a pair of speed cameras located on the Via Cuneo that had just been installed 48 hours earlier were ripped out of the ground and taken away by vigilantes on Tuesday. On December 16, the speed camera on the Via Cotonificio in Udine was also torn out of the pavement and left on the road.

In Les Assions, France, vigilantes on Thursday toppled and torched another next-generation pole-mounted "turret" speed camera on the RD104A. On Wednesday, the automated ticketing machine on the RN165 in Saint-Evarzec was torched. On December 16, the turret speed camera on the RN102 in Pont-de-Labeaume was cut down and set on fire. In Cherbourg, festive vigilantes decorated the speed camera on the D901 with gold spraypaint and the message "Joyeux Noel."
