UK Teen Convicted of Burning a Destroyed Speed Camera
Teenager burns Norwich, UK speed camera not realizing it had already been destroyed.

Daniel Wardall, 18, plead guilty to charges of arson after he set fire to a speed camera in Norwich, UK on September 12. Wardall poured metholated spirits into the camera housing and ignited the mixture, burning the camera located A146 road at Thurton. His actions were unnecessary, as the device had already been knocked out of commission by an attack earlier that same day that came on top of an attack earlier in the same week.

As a result, prosecutors estimated Wardall caused only £200 in damages. He was sentenced to 250 hours of community service, a £45 fine and a year-long driver's license suspension.
