San Antonio: $10 Bribes Do Not Work
San Antonio, Texas motorist needs $30,000 bail after trying to get out of a speeding ticket with $10.

Ford EscapeNineteen-year-old Brian Michael Timmer is spending time in the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas after trying to get out of a speeding ticket with a ten dollar bill. Police running a speed trap around noon on Wednesday instructed Timmer to pull over in his blue Ford Escape. According to police, when the arresting officer asked the teenager for his license, Timmer instead handed the officer a folded ten dollar bill.

"I can't afford this right now," Timmer said according to the arrest report. Now he is being held on bribery charges with bail set at $30,000. Police kept the $10 as evidence.
