Cleveland Cites DC as Example, Wants Cameras
Cleveland wants to install red light cameras to make up for a $3.6 million budget shortfall.

Cleveland, Ohio Mayor Jane Campbell cited the Washington, D.C. as an example of a successful red light camera program -- remember that the DC mayor recently described the program as a budget balancer, not a safety program. To make up for a $3.6 million budget shortfall, the cameras are expected to make $6.5 million. Cleveland's Finance Director also spoke in favor of the program.
