France, Italy, Saudi Arabia: Speed Cameras Burned, Painted, Toppled
Vigilantes in Europe and the Middle East use a variety of tactics to ensure speed cameras no longer issue tickets.

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia a vigilante set fire to a speed camera last week. A video of the incident was quickly taken down after it had been posted on YouTube.

In Treviglio, Italy, vigilantes swiped a speed camera last week Sunday. L'Eco di Bergamo reports that the automated ticketing machine was hauled away in the middle of the night and brought five miles to the Via Carioni in Misano Gera d'Adda, where it was placed on the side of the road.

In Chomerac, France vigilantes used black spraypaint on Friday to disable an automated ticketing machine. According to Le Dauphine, the same camera on the RD2 had been previously smashed in October 2013.
