Speed Cameras Burned, Shot In Caribbean, Middle East
Speed cameras set on fire in French Antilles and blasted by gunfire in Kuwait.

A photo radar device burned Tuesday in Guadeloupe on Grande-Terre island in the French Antilles. The automated ticketing machine had been located on the RN4 between Sainte-Anne and Saint-Francois. Vigilantes placed a pair of tires at the base of the camera and set it on fire, France-Antilles reported. Local authorities have no idea who might be responsible. Months ago, vigilantes also destroyed a camera in Bois de Rose. Guadeloupe has fourteen cameras with three more scheduled for installation by year's end.

In Kuwait City, Kuwait, a vigilante opened fire on a speed camera with a gun on Thursday. The device had been issuing tickets on the Sixth Ring Road. Police have no suspects, the Arab Times reported.
