Italy, Singapore Speed Cameras, Signs Spraypainted
Speed cameras in Singapore and warning signs in Italy are covered in paint.

Vigilantes damaged a speed camera in Singapore Wednesday morning. The device was found covered in silver spraypaint, unable to issue tickets, at about 10am, Channel News Asia reported. The Singapore Police Force has no suspects, but if one is found he faces being caned with at least three and no more than eight strokes.

Vigilantes in Sardinia, Italy last week attempted to stop the issuance of speed camera tickets by undermining their legal authority. After a pair of speed camera warning signs were covered with black paint on the 131 in the village of Monastir, any tickets issued could be appealed, L'Unione Sarda reported. Officials have since replaced the signs.
